Join Jess, owner of While on Earth, for a fun Saturday morning workshop playing around with the cyanotype print process!

A cyanotype is a contact print made by exposing UV reactive chemicals to sunlight.

We'll do some test prints on paper to get the hang of the process, and then move on to fabric (bandanas). Students can also bring totes or clothing to experiment on as well! (Fabric must be natural fibers - cotton, linen, silk, and hemp - synthetics won't work well! And white/light fabric will work best. It is not recommended to bring something precious as this process can be fickle/inconsistent.)

While on Earth will provide some botanical items, paper and exacto knives, and transparency paper to bring your prints to life. Feel free to bring any other items you'd like to incorporate in your print, like flowers, plants, small household items, lace, etc. OR you can send a photo to info@letswhileonearth.com and we can print it on transparency paper for you to use!

Come spend your Saturday morning in the sunshine! (We'll be crossing our fingers for sunny weather - if it is cloudy on the day of, prints will take longer to develop. If it is rainy, the class may be rescheduled - in which case refunds will also be available. Please see below for the regular refund policy)
